The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) divides Portuguese proficiency into six levels, helping learners track their progress and develop their skills effectively.

Course Levels

Level A

LEVEL A1 – Beginner

At this level, learners can understand and use basic Portuguese phrases, introduce themselves, and communicate in simple everyday situations.

LEVEL A2 - Elementary.

Students can engage in basic conversations, understand frequently used expressions, and talk about familiar topics such as family, shopping, and daily activities.

LEVEL B1 - Intermediate

Learners can express opinions, describe experiences, and handle everyday interactions, including travel situations. They understand the main points of discussions on familiar topics like work, school, and leisure.

LEVEL B2 – Upper Intermediate

At this stage, learners can interact comfortably with native speakers, engage in detailed discussions, and understand complex texts on both general and professional subjects.

LEVEL C1 – Advanced

Students can use Portuguese flexibly and effectively in professional, academic, and social settings. They can understand implicit meanings, produce well-structured texts, and express themselves fluently.

LEVEL C2 – Proficient

At the highest level, learners can understand and produce complex texts effortlessly, express themselves with precision, and communicate naturally, much like a native speaker.
